How Metis Strategies handles personal data on this website. We collect as little as possible and never sell or share what we do hold.

Who we are

This website is operated by Metis Strategies Ltd, a company providing strategic communications and political advisory services from London, United Kingdom. References to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to Metis Strategies Ltd.

If you have a question about this policy, or want to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at info@metisstrategies.co.uk.

What data this website collects

This website is a single-page brochure site. It does not host forms, accounts, e-commerce, comments or any feature that would ask you to submit personal data. As a result, the website itself collects no personal data from visitors.

The only personal data we hold about you will be data you have deliberately sent to us by email or other direct means.

Third-party services we load

To deliver the website's typography, we load fonts from Google Fonts (operated by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd). When your browser requests these font files, Google receives your IP address and the URL of the page you're viewing as part of the standard HTTP request. Google states it does not use this data for advertising or to build profiles of users and retains the data only for as long as necessary to deliver the font.

You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and Google's specific notes about Google Fonts privacy at developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, retargeting, tracking, social media embed or session replay tool on this website.

Email correspondence

If you contact us at info@metisstrategies.co.uk, the contents of your email and any reply we send become part of our business records. We hold this correspondence on the basis of legitimate interest in running our business and responding to enquiries.

We retain business email for as long as it remains relevant to an active or historic engagement, or where we are required to keep it for legal, regulatory or tax reasons (typically up to seven years). We may retain it longer where it forms part of our institutional memory of a client relationship.

We do not share email contents with third parties except where required by law or with your express instruction.

If you become a client

Once we begin formal work with you, a separate engagement agreement will set out exactly what personal data is held, how it is processed, and the basis for processing. That agreement supersedes this policy in respect of client work.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Where we hold personal data about you, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@metisstrategies.co.uk. We respond within one month.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal data we hold, including encrypted transit (HTTPS) for this website, two-factor authentication on accounts where it is offered, and access controls on business systems.
